Our train ride though the Douro River Valley

I know it's been (gasp) a year and half since this post on Portugal and it's been crazy ever since. Unfortuntaely due to covid shut downs and our residency appointments my wonderful husband couldn't continue his residency journey with me as they had rescheduled our immigration appointments for when he had training, and at the airlines the only way to move training is if you are dead, so he will reapply in the future. I however got lucky and had my training a month later then he did which allowed me to reschedule my appointment and go to training, so I have been a (temporary, permant residnecy comes at year 5) since May of last year!

I have to say the last year has been a wild ride, from travel coming back and our jobs ramping up, to my dad having a major stroke, me getting a severe case of covid, commuting back and forth to Lisbon, to where we are now. I plan to spend the next few blogs trying to go back and catch up on all the happens of the past year.
